Default Narrowed my choice to 2 - which one?

So I've narrowed down my choice of a first handgun Springfield XDM 3.8 or a Glock 19?

Im going to conceal so the Glock has the advantage where the XDM has the higher capacity.

What would you chose and why?

    Thanks !!

I have a xd45 and several glocks. I think either would be a good choice.

I have and love them both . I have full size XDM and G19. For me I'd say G19 would win by a small margin. I like the trigger reset better on glock vs XDM it's very short and predictable where as XDM's is a little too long for my liking and a bit mushy. But I do carry them interchangebly. I would not get too hung up on a capacity aspect of it. 15+1 and two spares is plenty for any defensive type of situation that you hope to never have. I also wouldn't get too hung up on concealement with proper wardrobe you can conceal them both without a problem. I'm 5'6 and 130lbs and don't have too much trouble concealing full size XDM in OWB serpa holster. Without looking like a total hoodlam in the process. Heavier cotton or heavier linen short sleeve shirts in summer time untucked over your jeans keep you anonymous enough in the crowd and conceal your gun just fine. Winter time you wear a heavier coat or fleese anyway so no problem there. In 99.9% of cases people who'd know that this is a gun printing under your shirt are the people who carry a gun under theirs and they are not the type to call the cops.

What's more important is what pistol fits your hand better and what pistol you can be more accurate with. Glock fits me like a glove but I know plenty of people who absolutely hate it's fit and angle . Might be a silly question have you tried firing both handguns more than once or are you basing your purchase decision based on the theoretical research and word of mouth?

Yes make sure you get to fire each if you can. The fit in your hand and the ability to get on target in a natural extension would be important.

Why the stubby XDm? The grip is full size which generally is the item that causes concealment issues. I love my full size XDm .40SW. It conceals exceptionally well when using a CrossBreed Supertuck holster. Even in the Blackhawk Serpa OWB it can be concealed with leather jacket.

I have shot both and its a tuff call! I would go with a Glock 19 gen 4.
However if you can afford both go for it, this America and you have the right to own them both

Out of those two choices, I'd personally go with the glock. Extra capacity = extra weight, and the springer weighs, empty, just about as much as the glock does loaded.

Id go with the XDM 3.8 in .40 S&W. But I already have a G23 so my opinion may be biased
