Awww, hell! Just get an old POS Bulgy AK 74 & shoot it until the smoke rolls off the damn thing. That's what I do with mine. $350, cheap shooting, dependable & I won't feel too bad if it gets f-ed up.

The amd's built by tgi on FEG receivers are gtg. I like it so much I've been thinking of getting another. In fact even talking about it makes my wallet itch. They are known to have one problem as far as I know. And that is the spot weld on the barrel extension cracking. It still won't come off, just might crack. The best thing to do would be to buy the amd style muzzle brake that is all one piece, time it, and have someone drop a dot of a weld on it. The alternative is the $200 SBR route. Or possibly a different muzzle device. Not a big deal, and imo, this particular variant of the AK is far beyond worth possibly dealing with that tiny issue.

FWIW, Dunhams has the TGI AMDs in their ad this week for under $400.00.

I'm planning to run up there thisfriday to check it out.
Last time I was there, there were at least 4 AMD's. So I'm hoping to find a straight one.
