Default Really proud of my mom

I say this because when I was about 12, she was incredibly anti..... Like Ceasefire we cant have any guns in the house anti.....Then I started hunting, and she begrudgingly allowed rifles.... then I started talking about pistols.....it went over, but not well.... I won one, and again, she allowed it, but wasnt happy.....Then I started carrying.... and that went over like a fart in church.... I then found this site, learned a bit more, then started explaining my reasoning, and she understood and was OK with it..... She was reluctant about the OC thing but accepted it...

I got home tonight and she asked me how my day went..... I asked her if she heard about the crazy guy running around with a gun.... And she said "No, why, did something happen to you?" I jokingly said "Yeah I got kicked out of a place because I was OCing." She FLIPPED OUT... She says "what are you talking about? WHo would do that? ITS YOUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO OPEN CARRY A FIREARM!!!!! THEY SHOULDNT TRY TO INFRINGE UPON THAT!!!!"

I told her I was only messing around, and she calmed down a little, but I didn't... I'm really excited that she is coming around

That is really good to see that you are opening her eyes a little.

Every time my mother sees me, she about has a heart attack "Is that loaded, you know it looks bad on your brother when you do that, why did you take that there?"

She has gotten to a point where she seems to be a little more ok with it than she used to be. But not to the point where she generally accepts it though.

I think P-11 Shooter shed a tear when I applied for my LTCF.

BTW, when are you taking her shopping for her own gun?

My mom finally said she wants to go to the range with me and learn how to shoot. She divorced my father a couple years ago and is living alone in a fairly large house. The area is not 'bad' by any means but she's tiny and I want her to be able to defend herself. That and her Shi-tzu will just lick an intruder to death.

    +1 for armed moms!

    Speaking of Moms

My mom is coming to visit for a day next week (from Ohio) ... you will be able to tell when she is passing by you by the black smoke coming from the broom and the Wizard of Oz music playing

But I digress. She has no idea we carry and even more open carry BUT we decided when she comes we are going out for dinner along with her new boyfriend .. this is going to be CLASSIC

Good job with your mom BTW
