Default Got a Sig 232 today!

Met VWfreak96 and bought his very lightly used Sig 232 this morning. Since I was at FCO I thought I'd try it out.

Initial impression: Nice! It shot good groups and had no issues with several different types of ammo.

It took some getting used to - the slide won't stay open without an empty mag inserted as there's no external slide lock, and the mag release is on the bottom of the grip and I kept pressing the decocker with my thumb since that's where it usually is - but it fits my hand perfectly, has nice easy to see sights and performed flawlessly.

It will require some re-learning of habits but it will definitely go on many range trips with me!

Pics with Bersa Thunder for contrast.

Very nice cant got wrong with a Sig! Do you intend on carrying it or just an addition to your collection? If so, how does it carry?

    Congrats on a fine gun.
I saw that ad in the classifieds but as my luck would have it I had just bought a 232. So far I really love it.

Nice find! A SIG 232 is one of the pistols I really regret getting rid of to fund a very stupid kayak purchase. For the record, I don't have the kayak anymore either......Oh, and be careful not to lose the slide catch lever spring. (No. 43 in the schematic) when you remove the slide. If you don't keep the slide catch lever (No. 42 in the schematic) flat against the frame, the spring will go a flyin'. Don't ask me how I know, but I probably still have a few spares laying around here somewhere. They are a bitch to find on the garage floor.

Question for you guys who know, if I saw a used P232 at a store for $299 recently, should I have snapped it up? I thought it was a pretty good price... I'm gonna go back and check, see if it's still there.

The Gander Mountain on 22 in Harrisburg. RenegadePhoenix, that might be a bit far for you, but you're closer, aren't you Jules?
