New Kahr CW 9
Hey guy's I just bought a new Kahr CW 9 yesterday at the Lebanon gun show.
I was looking for a good quality single stack 9mm to add to my carry guns and I decided to go with the CW 9...Hope I made a good choice as I never owned a Kahr pistol before. It seems like a real nice, quality gun to me.
So, it is too shitty outside today to go shoot it, so I thought I would post this up and get some opinions on the gun, holsters, must do's, must have's for it. And any other good info Kahr related.
Thanks!

Re: New Kahr CW 9
You've got a nice gun there, my buddy has one and it's a good shooting gun. He's not had any issues with it, he was looking to pick up a Fobus paddle holster for it but as far as I know they don't make one yet. Not sure what he ended up getting, but it works for him. He carries it daily and we've had it to the range several times. Enjoy!

Nice purchase! I wanted to go the Kahr route but my bank account only got me a Kel-tec.

I can't make up mind...Kahr CW9 or the Kel-Tec PF9. The PF seems to fit my hand better. Anyone out there own them both?

Re: New Kahr CW 9
Welcome fellow Kahrer. I just got a CW45 two weeks ago & really like that little 'thang. Also got a Crossbreed holster for it (ordered from Kahr & had it in 3 days). Butt ugly holster but just might be the most comfortable and doesn't need any breaking-in.
Now for my question, does anyone other then Kahr make magazines for it? Not real anxious to pay $40 if I don't have to.

Re: New Kahr CW 9
I'm not a big fan of Kahr's Polumer guns, but I have K9, which I love it dearly.
My K9 is simply a joy to shoot, and gets smoother as I shoot more.
I saw a used P-9 sitting at local dealer, but was sold before I got to it.
So I went ahead and ordered another kahr. but I wanted those "big" kahr So I ordered a T-9 last week, which I picked it up Thursday last week.
Unfortunatly, its already on its way back to Kahr, however tho due to some piss poor QC...Audemus jura nostra defendere

Re: New Kahr CW 9
Thanks guys, I also was really looking at the PF9 but as soon as I held them both side by side it was a no brainer for me, IMO the Kahr just feels like a gun should.
Yes, the Crossbreed holster is a good one. I have a few for other handguns, and I may just get another for this. Don't know about the mags? I agree $40 seems a little much, I know I wish the one that came with the CW was flush fit to the grip.
Sorry to hear your new Kahr had to go back, what was wrong with it?
As requested a little Kahr porn....

Re: New Kahr CW 9
I owned a CW-9 for a few months. It made for a nice carry piece (I had a don hume iwb holster for it) and had a really nice trigger, but I got rid of it. I tend to put alot of rounds through my guns, and after putting a few hundred through mine the Kahr's design left much to be desired. The metal slide rides pretty much only on plastic, and the plastic wears pretty noticeably. So I traded towards a sig239.
Also, I hope you are not actually loading +p+ rounds in the CW9. That gun is not rated for that round (check the manual). Shooting that stuff will void any warranty you may have.

Re: New Kahr CW 9
So your rails after only a few hundered rds had wear to the point of a problem? or a safety concern? did you contact Kahr about it? Because I have read of people with many thousand rds through them with no issue.
I will check into the +p, +p+ ammo use in it. I use that Ranger T +p+ in my Glock. And thats what I had handy to take a pic with. I have yet to fire the gun at all.
I did just look at the manual and like most, it says it will void the warranty if you use handloaded/reloaded or improper ammo. It does not really say anything that I see specifically about +p ammo but I will check it out further before use.
As far as the no reloads BS, I have been shooting my own reloads since I started reloading over 20 yrs ago, So I guess I voided alot of warranty's
