Keltec (PF9?) on new Hawaii Five-O

Just finished the 2nd episode of Hawaii Five-O (the new series) and a Keltec 9mm pistol is prominently displayed towards the end.

The one character receives it as a gift and she says "A Keltec 9mm, very nice."

Seemed kind of out of place considering the nature of the work they are doing. Looks like they would be able to acquire any number of firearms and they choose a Keltec.

I know a lot of people like Keltecs and I'm not trying to say anythng bad about them as I've never handled one but you can't argue that they do have their own stigma in the firearms community as not high quality.

no check's were written, it was not paid product placement....but they did get a serious discount on the PF-9 used in the episode.

I knew it was going to be in one of the shows, but we were all surprised that they mentioned the brand and ex...plained it's benefits. Maybe the writer is a fan of the PF-9.

Yeah and overall it's pretty bad (IMO). Supposedly a special team of five officers with "special immunity" so they "take short cuts" and use "enhanced interrogation methods" as they see fit.

AHAA! this explains it. they must be planning on filing off the serial numbers and using the POS PF9 as a throwaway piece when they waste some perp vigilante style (reliability not an issue - as long as their buddy has the perp covered with a service weapon while they wait for the PF9 to go off)
