Re: Pa. Pistol trade question?
Yes, there typically is a transfer fee for each pistol transferred. The cost can very from $10-$50 each. Hope that helps.

Re: Pa. Pistol trade question?
Essentially what happens is you turn your pistols over to the FFL/Dealer and they transfer them to you and your pal. For that record keeping and paperwork, you must pay.

Re: Pa. Pistol trade question?
You may get a discount for two transfers...shop around. I normally do when purchasing two guns from my local dealer.

Re: Pa. Pistol trade question?
In the scenario presented, no one is transferring two or more firearms. Two individuals are each transferring one firearm. PICS approval numbers are good for 24 hours, so a dealer could use the same number for someone purchasing two firearms. Not so for two individuals each seeking a single transfer.

Re: Pa. Pistol trade question?
I should have elaborated further...a few times I ordered two firearms from AIM one for me and one for my brother. Local dealer would charge $15 per transfer instead of the customary $25.
