Just put down Self Defense, you don't have to explain your reasons for putting it down. The form is a hold over from long ago when you could get the permit for different reasons. In Centre County, no matter what you put down it will be typed up on the permit as self defense.

Call a lawyer in PA, consider everything and anything you read on the internet as "guess work".

A little late to the party, eh? Good advice nonetheless. However, with the caveat that it can be very reliable if relevant and reliable links are provided to back up any advice given.

OC in state forests is OK, you only need to conceal in state parks.

OP be aware that although OC is legal without a LTCF (except Philly) you cannot effectively OC unless all of your travels are on foot with very few exceptions.

Ah, well I talked to my neighbor who owns a wealth of firearms and he just told me to put down Target Practice. I already checked that off before reading on here again. Seems like it wont matter anyways from the comments here. I will just have to see how long it takes to get my LTCF once I submit the application.

    Thanks

I thought both forbade OC. I reread the regs and you are indeed correct sir. Thank you.
