Re: Holster for concealed 1911
You'll be able to concel in any type of holster considering you are looking to only carry while wearing a coat or sweatshirt. I personally carried a UC II in a C5 Leather Montana XLT. It was a great holster and I could carry under a T-shirt with little printing. You'll see many different recommondations for holsters. However it is up to you on which fits your carry style. It may take you a few holsters to figure out which one is best for you as well.

Crossbreed Supertuck and a good belt. It holds up that heavy gun and makes it one of the easiest guns I have to conceal.

UBG Canute with a Beltman belt. Works wonderfully.

Re: Holster for concealed 1911
I've always liked my 1911's but was afraid to carry them because of size - but actaully not too bad with shirt out or hoodie. I have always wanted an IWB but hate the feeling, so I just bought a Kholster ( similar to crossbreed but a lot cheaper ). Mine was just made and shipped Saturday so I'll let you know once I've used it a few times

For IWB, Crossbreed Supertuck. For OWB concealment, Atomic Dog Holsters.
Brian makes great stuff and at great prices, I definitely recommend ADH.

If you carry that 1911 inside the waist band dont plan and doing a lot of sitting and driving, it depends on your life style i guess but just be aware that iwb can be uncomfortable.

I have a Galco COP 3 slot, it's comfortable and easy to draw from. It doesn't print all that much and I'm not a big guy. Lastly, it's available for railed 1911's as well.
