Default H-creek W-mart, ammo out in the open, oh no!

Stopped in the Harborcreek WalMart, looking for automotive stuff. As I was walking by the sporting goods section I noticed ammo was out on a shelf, instead of hidden behind the counter, like usual. Did a quick price check, .40 S&W was $33 for a box of 100, not too bad, except I had just bought 300 at Gander Mtn for $13 a box of 50, on sale.
The store has been re-organized, some departments moved around.
Just wondered if any other WalMarts did the same thing.
The most dangerous place in America is a "gun free" zone.

Edinboro Wally-world has ammo in locked glass door aisle shelf next to the sporting goods checkout. Had a pretty decent selection there last week, except no Federal 550 packs of .22lr.

Seems like the more rural oriented locations are more customer friendly when it comes to ammo display. The Erie Peach street W-W has it behind the sporting goods counter, you can see and point it out to them.

My local one, someone broke the glass case a month and a half ago. I have been calling corporate, and the store management to get it fixed. They keep saying someone is coming in to look at it "soon."
I'm so fast, I can bump fire a bolt action.

The Montoursville Store, since the reset, has a glass case/cabinet but it is never locked. It is self serve.

Be safe (and get it yourself).

I usually go to either the Titusville or Corry Walmart. I'll take notice next time if they've changed their ammo displays.

I think it's a nation wide thing except for shotgun shells.

Rifle and shotgun ammo are out in the open at the Corry Wal-Mart

Pistol ammo is behind glass, but when they unlock it for you, they let me get it myself.

In my local store, it's tucked under the counter where you can't see it unless you go around to the other side of the counter island that's a good 10 ft away. They only keep like 2 boxes of .410 shells and a few small boxes of .22lr in the small in counter display case.

In my experience pistol ammo will often be set out "in the open" on shelves when it is overstocked or being put on clearance at Wal-Mart.

At least, that's how it was when I worked there in the sporting goods department years ago. Of course, they still did gun sales back then so I'm sure other things have changed as well.
