Im betting that $500 amount per year to exercise a fundamental right will be struck down as unduly burdensome.

Every year NJ has a revised right to carry bill introduced. I don't see this going anywhere but at 500 dollars a year perhaps it might. NJ is broke and this could help offset the budget shortfalls caused by former govenor corzine (aka govenor moron)

    there can still be restrictions:

The court may at its discretion issue a limited-type
permit which would restrict the applicant as to the types of
handguns he may carry and where and for what purposes such
    handguns may be carried.
    and lets not forget:

that applicants for renewal shall be required to undergo psychological testing on a biennial rather than annual basis.
    and this...

    f. Revocation of permits. Any permit issued under this section
shall be void at such time as the holder thereof becomes subject to
any of the disabilities set forth in section 2C:58-3c. or fails to
qualify semi-annually in the use of his handgun,

the previous bill introduced in NJ legislature last year had for no annual qualification and almost any training was to be accepted. It was similar to or identical to the training florida will accept.

the text of this current version is alsmost verbatum to the NJ LEOSA requirments.

again as I stated above I doubt this will ever pass in NJ. We are talking about a state that you can now legally smoke weed (medical use!) but can not exercise a God given right secured by our Constitution. I have two words to describe NJ:

    F**cked UP!!!

I echo that I would gladly pay 500 for NJ carry since my entire family lives there. I don't mind helping to ballance the states fiscal irresponsibility if in exchange I am able to better protect my family and self if needed.
