Re: Latest NJ concealed carry bill
Did you read the same bill?
d. Issuance by Superior Court; fee. If the application has been
approved by the chief police officer or the superintendent, as the
case may be, the applicant shall forthwith present it to the Superior
Court of the county in which the applicant resides, or to the

Re: Latest NJ concealed carry bill
anyone crazy enough to pay $500 to exercise a GOD GIVEN, Constitutionally recognized RIGHT SHOULD have their head examined! And anyone who pays this is financially supporting GUN CONTROL. Simple as that.

Re: Latest NJ concealed carry bill
Im meeting with Senator Van Drew on Monday evening, at which time I will inform him that it is a virtual certainty that the fee amount is sure to be overturned as unduly burdensome, a fact Im fairly confident he knows. It may be nothing more then an appeasement to the North Jersey Dems, with the full knowledge it wont pass Court review. We shall see.
In related news, since the entire foundation of NJ's Gun Legislation scheme is built on the 1968 Burton v Sills case, which relied FULLY on the " collectivist " interpretation of the 2A, which has obviously now been quashed as a result of Heller and McDonald, things are going to be getting mighty interesting in The Peoples Socialist Republic over the next couple yearsSi vis pacem, para bellum

Re: Latest NJ concealed carry bill
I am on a couple NJ forums...and I am astounded by the number of posters who say that they will pay this amount on the reasoning "it's a start"..."get this in place and then attack the $500" and "we have nothing now".
It doesn't seem to matter how many times I say there is already an existing carry law in place, they just need to eliminate the "justifiable need" from it. They don't seem to understand....but maybe I'm the one who doesn't understand since i don't live over there...???

Re: Latest NJ concealed carry bill
the existing carry law is really non existence for regular people. I was told by an attorney there that it'll cost me 5k for him to help me get a permit, but 95% chance i won't get it. Plus right now if you do have a NJ permit, the permit will have time, day, county and when it'll be legal for you to carry. example, only when large sum of money is carried for work in camden county during 10am to 12pm and 3pm to 6pm on mondays, thursdays, and friday.
