Have not been on here in a very long time. Looking for assistance. I'm re-storing a rifle for a friend that has been neglected. Uberti 1866 Yellowboy Carbine in 44-40....yes I know that round came out after 1866...it's a Uberti replica, in bad shape. Been left in a soft case for years and is corroded and pitted. I know what needs to be done.....for now I have it soaking in CLP, will Nylon brush it and maybe 0000 steel wool. But it really needs total breakdown and bead blasted, polish, re-blue, etc....I'd like to make the guy an offer to buy it for a project.....not very familar with these.....any suggestions about a decent offer?....
