old rifle need help idenifying
i know nothing about it.... it looks to have a Stevens name on it but can't really make it out. the barrel is stamped 1877 on the butt plate it has the serial # and 1890. It is a larger caliber ( over .30 ) i believe. Thanks for any help you may have.

you need to post some better photos, they are too grainy and to distant to make out anything except it is a bolt rifle with a mag.

Looks like a Dutch Model 71/88 Beaumont-Vitali to me. "P. Stevens" would be the maker.
