Coyote hunting questions
Buddy of mine has some Coyotes around his house that need removed, I have some questions...
There is no issue with being out in the woods with a rifle this close to season right?
What about next weekend when the season is open for archery only? can I still rifle hunt for coyotes?
Can I hunt coyotes after Saturday/ Midnight? (ie: Sunday AM)
any tips/ tricks? The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Re: Coyote hunting questions
"Coyotes, Opposums, Skunks & Weasels: No closed season, with certain exceptions during deer, bear & spring Turkey seasons. No limit."
The hunting hours table touches on regular deer seasons with a note for coyotes. I'm still looking for those exceptions.
Sundays are still in for coyote.
The exceptions have to do with orange requirements.Last edited by P89; September 22nd, 2010 at 10:30 AM.

Re: Coyote hunting questions
Dredly....
You can hunt coyotes during archery deer with a rifle... IF you have a
furtaker license. Otherwise, if your using your hunting license, you must
be legal for archery deer.... (no rifle, archery stamp, and a valid tag).
Don't want you to get tripped up.

Re: Coyote hunting questions
Are you interested in going Sunday a.m.? I'm not sure yet but, I think I might be able to get away for a couple hours if you're looking for a second.
I have a couple calls, too. (and I promise not to wear my Daisy Dukes!!!!)
I will have to pick up a furtakers license, however. I've never gone out when it wasn't rifle season or after season. That could've been bad. Thanks to the poster who cleared that up upthread.
