Default stumbled on a High Standard Sharpshooter!

We had National Hunting & Fishing day at the club Saturday. Some of the members brought gear to sell. A nice old couple had a whole mni van filled with old stuff trying to sell it. Just as I was walking by he brought out a High Standard mod. 103 Sharpshooter in the original box with all the paperwork. My eyes lit up just seeing the box. I knew from talking to the bullseye shooters these older HS pistols were great shooters.

The gun is dead on at 25yds. out of the box! Not bad for 200 bucks.
I love the smell of gunpowder in the morning.[

You lucky rascal!! Do you want to make a quick $100 by selling for $300? Seriously, want a great find. They are such terrific guns. Congratulations on your new-to-you classic pistol. There is nothing any better quality than a High Standard especially the number series from Hamden. The only American made pistol to win an Olympic gold medal in the rapid fire event.

I do need to caution you about the danger of contracting the High Standard disease. Look what it has done to me.....so far!

Very nice! A Victor top unit, a Citation or two, Volquartsen Barrel for one (at least) and all with the push-button takedown so all appear to have been made before the company started on it's way out. Is the one with the stainless (?) frame a Mitchell? Makes my Tournament Model seem lonely.

Do you have any intel on the current manufacturers of HS pistols in Texas?
