Does anyone think I could lock it on property? like car? If someone brings in theirs who is not an employee, they are asked to leave it in the car. You think its the same for employees? I don't want to go ask HR then suddenly there is a new policy.
If YOU are unclear/unsure of the policy as an employee, why would you ask thousands of non-employees what would be ok? Legally, I assume you know what you can and can't do. Beyond that, it's a judgment call, and you're the one that will have to make it.

I'm just trying to get advice whether it's smart or not. I know no one here would know the exact answer. However I am sure other people here have the same setup at their work. I know a few people here work at other local hospitals but I cannot remember their user names. I hope that makes sense. It's more of a "What would you do if your work was set up this way?"

    Sorry.

Whatever I did, I wouldn't talk about it on a public forum.

Theoretically, the closer the gun is to you, the more useful it could be. If it's in the car instead of at home, you might be able to retrieve it, but if there's bad shit going down, and you can get to your car, you might be better off to simply leave the property as quickly as you can.

Personally, I wouldn't do it. WIth the job market in the state that it is, it is a big risk. Someone could see you securing your weapon, and then tell an employee, HR, the police, or anyone for that matter. That could bring alot of unwanted attention, and perhaps even cost you your job.
I'm so fast, I can bump fire a bolt action.

Are you new to Lancaster County? I live part time in Lancaster (Lititz) and I can't think of a reason why you'd need a gun for the work you do in Lancaster County. When I'm in Lititz, I only carry my LCP, I leave my Sig P239 .357 at home. Lancaster is a safe community (except for the city, then I bring my Sig along). If you worked in Philadelphia, then yes, I'd want my gun for some of the shady areas I'd be dispatched too, but in Lancaster County, the only bad section of the county is the City of Lancaster, and besides I would assume where ever you're dispatched too, the police are more often there to assist, right? I would leave the gun at home, you don't need it in my opinion, and you'll save your job. My $0.02.

Edit: If you insist you must carry, do it with a belly wrap and a pocket pistol.
