    Default EOTECH or ACOG

just curious, if you wanted a scope for a 5.56 semi auto rifle, would you want an eotech or acog. i shot an ar with a eotech and loved it, super fast acquisition or wide field of view, seems like the acog would be better for farther ranges past 50 yards. the eotech sure makes it fun to shoot though.

for this poll, dont take money into consideration, pretend they are the same price.

I have them both, voted Acog. You just can't beat the clarity of a Acog.

I like my EOTech. I haven't tried an ACOG, but have tried out the Aimpoints. I wear bifocals & find it much easier to shoot with both eyes open with the EOTech & target acquisition is faster, for me at least. Battery life is dismal when compared to the Aimpoints, but I have 3 Surefire flashlights, so I always have at least a full box of 123's on hand.

I voted ACOG, if the justification is for if the defecation hits the reciprocation, any savvy survivalist would avoid built up areas. The ACOG will give you the clarity and magnification most likely needed for fending off the zombie/democrat/chinese invasion. If price isn't an option, get both in one with a Specter DR made by Elcan.

Hell; I missed that part. If they were the same price, I'd get an ACOG & use the money I saved to get Lasik done!

i tried the aim point, i hated it, it was like an eotech without the field of view. battery lasts longer, but they use those little watch batteries iirc. try finding them in the middle of no where, or anywhere for that matter.

About two years ago I made the jump to EOTech's and have not looked back. Have not zero issues, and nothing but great results in the field as well as the range. I put my vote towards EOTech, but to be fair I have had limited time behind an Acog. Thanks

I voted eotech. For us civies we wont be shooting at bad guys at distance. So, the faster on target eotech makes more sense.
