Received my M&P back from S&W...
You may remember my rusty slide thread:
http://forum.pafoa.org/pistols-41/10...p-rusting.html
I shipped the pistol and the rusty magazine to them. Got them back today. The slide has been refinished and looks good. They sent me the rusty magazine back though...
Not only should this not happen, but it is my EDC weapon so I figured they'd give me a little extra something to compensate me. Nope, nothing.
I will be contacing them again of course.

Im shocked that they did that.
My past experience with them has been nothing but 2 thumbs up.
They have sent me enough free shit. Even when I needed something due to my wrong doing, they sent me parts free...

Complain. All of my interactions with Smith and Wesson CS have been excellent. Let them know, then let us know.

Just one? I would think they owe you an extra or two for the inconvenience.

Re: Received my M&P back from S&W...
I've heard from many people that S&W has one of the best customer service departments. I'm sure if you complain to the right person at S&W you will definitely get something free. I've heard that in multiple cases with all the defective early M&P 15-22s that S&W would send 3 free 25 round mags back with the repaired rifle. I wonder what Glock would send me for free if I ever had to send my 19 in for a repair?

Re: Received my M&P back from S&W...
You know, I am not trying to stand up for Smith and Wesson. I have had very little interaction with them, despite owning a number of their guns. But I have to ask, why is it that you think you are entitled to something simply because it is your "EDC"?
Should they fix your gun? Yes.
Should they replace the magazine? Yes.
Should they "give you something extra for your trouble?" Why? So it is your EDC. So what? What is it that makes it, or you, special? Where does your sense of entitlement come from? To summarize for those who are linguistically challenged, I do think they should make it right, but I am having a hard time understanding why you think you deserve something extra simply because it is your EDC.
ETA: I forgot to mention "your trouble". The warranty for just about anything states that if there is something wrong due to quality of materials or workmanship, they will fix it. There usually isn't anything included about extra goodies thrown in for "your trouble".Last edited by PennsyPlinker; September 17th, 2010 at 06:02 PM.
