Is this a good deal? (First 9mm)
I have wanted a 9mm for a while now and I think I'm finally going to get one. I already has a Glock in .40 but the 9mm I always wanted was a Beretta. I was planning on going down to Cabela's this weekend and I happened to check out there website and found out they are having a sale. WHOO HOO.
Is this a good deal for this gun?

thats about what they are going for, you are only saving 30 bucks with that ad.
for all my gun price references i go to budsgunshop.com or whatever, they have the lowest prices out there.

If you are ok with a great "clone" - check out the American Tactical 92 or 92c - they are exact copies. I picked mine up a few weeks back and absolutely love it. It's a solid, exact clone. I've put about 150 rounds through it so far flawlessly. They are $ 299 at CDNN - can't beat it !!! This is mine stock except for the Hogue grips I put on. Good luck either way !

If you're not set on new you can save some cash. With a little searching you can find a lightly used 92 for $500 or less plus there's no sales tax. There were even a few on the classifieds here recently that might still be available. Good choice though. Nice gun.

Even with the sale I find that price a bit high. I have a dealer here in Lancaster County that sells new made in USA or Italians for 529. The 92 is such a workhorse you really cant go wrong with a used one as well. Check the classified section at berettaforum.net for a bunch of listings. Great gun, if you cant resist and just go to Cabelas and buy it you will still have my respect. Ive been there.

Re: Is this a good deal? (First 9mm)
First off, the first gun that I bought was a used Beretta 92. I have been nothing but happy with my choice for my first gun. I have recommended this pistol to many people and I think it is great for beginners.
I think the price is a little high to but it does say it is the 25th anniversary so maybe it is nicer than the old ones.
The Beretta is copied by so many for a reason, Buy the Beretta and not a copy!!

The 92 sells for less then the M9 25th anniversary model. I have no clue why because I always thought it was the same but I.m not a Beretta person.
It looks like a decent price. Check Gun Genie link I posted. I always found it a good place to start.

Re: Is this a good deal? (First 9mm)
It not a "BAD" price for an M9, but you can do better if you look around. If you look at a used one or used 92, check it over real good. While they are well built, some of them have had the crap shot out of them.
