Default More than one club bad etiquette?

Hi, I am a new gun owner (pistol for now, long guns to come), and new to the forum. I joined the forum because I was receiving so much useful information from viewing the discussions, I wanted to be able to join in.

I am looking at joining a club but have a few questions. A good friend of mine belongs to a club about an hour away from me that does not allow guests to shoot. I have a club much closer to me than this that does not look like it allows guests to shoot. I was leaning toward joining the one near me, so I could go more frequently, but he suggested I join both so we can shoot together once or twice a month. The fees and such are not an issue, but is it wrong to belong to more than one club? I don't know much about it since I am so new to this.

Any advice you could give would be appreciated!

My personal opinion - no, it shouldn't matter. It's your money, and your preference. Plus, there are various types of ranges. Some have full auto rentals, some have 300yd+, some allow shotguns, etc. So in that case, you may want to join different ones for different reasons. In your case, you're looking for convenience. I see no problem with that.

    BTW, welcome to the forum!

I don't see any reason not to belong to more then a few ranges. Just beware that some private ranges require you to participate in work days. The more ranges the more work days.

    The more the merrier.

Also, a range that won't allow guests is a big no-no in my book.

Where is the fun in that??

Agree but I can understand and have belonged to a range that limited how many times one could visit in a year w/o becoming a member.

I agree with everyone else. If you find three ranges that suit your needs and other various opportunities, then by all means join all three. It's your money, use how you want to because in the end, you can't take it with you!

Multiple ranges here, one close for convenience and one to let me shoot what I want
