9mm Luger becoming scarce?
Has anyone noticed that 9mm ammo seems to be low or out of stock in many places?
Seems like it used to be that it could be found everywhere, in every variety, in large quantities. It seems like everywhere I go 9mm is the round with the more limited selection, or even sold out.
I can't find Pow'R Ball in 9mm anywhere, not even online. WWB is hit or miss in the usual spots. Gander Mountain even only had a couple different 9mm rounds to choose from, and other than few big boxes of 250 count UMC ammo (which was sold out last week) there was only 2 boxes of WWB "clean" and a couple defensive rounds.
Is this because of overseas action or are folks just stocking up? Another reason? Something I should know here?

Re: 9mm Luger becoming scarce?
the sportmen's warehouse near here has a bunch of those yellow 250 round UMC boxes of 9mm Luger FMJ (at something like $47 a pop).
so they, at least, don't seem to be running low on it. (although less than a year ago, they sold those boxes for about $35 each.)

It must be your area.
9mm is probably one of the most plentiful cartridges in my area. All the shops as well as Wal*Mart, always keep plenty of it in stock.

I was looking around Midway's online site last night, plenty of 9mm there, albeit a tad pricey compared to the WWB 100 rounders at Wallyworld.
