Re: Gun Shops in York
Congrats! I met you at the Carlisle gun show, I'll be in to see your shop as soon as I get back to full time work. I'll be in the big yellow tanker.

Re: Gun Shops in York
Thanks JohnUSCG for creating this thread!
I just moved to York from Clearfield PA and was badly in need of gun shop advice. I happened upon this thread. This forum has already been a great help. Heck, i already got a little advice on where to shoot around here as well!
Thanks to everyone for their input as well.

Ebersole Gunsmithing
Saw a mobile sign (magnet on truck) for "Ebersole Gunsmithing". Haven't checked it out yet. Called the guy, seemed real nice.
Anyone familiar with the place?

Re: Gun Shops in York
Ebersole gunsmith has a small shop to the rear of his house in the garage off of Springwood Rd in York Twp. Very nice guy. I used to see him at some of the York Gun shows but have not seen him recently. I purchased a .22 Stevens rifle from him and also did the transfer for a gun I bought thru another forum thru him. If I remember correctly, the transfer cost about $20. He definitly was a good guy and I would do business with him again....just haven't had the oppportunity. His hours are hit or miss. I think he does gunsmithing in his spare time and has another full time job.

Re: Gun Shops in York
Shupps is usually open 11-7 on Tues, Wed and Thurs. 11-5 on Friday, and 9 till noon on Saturday.
That is usually his hours but now that it is hunting season....there may be some changes to that.
