Glock Sight Pusher
I was just curious if anyone else has had problems finding a gunsmith that has the ability to push Glock sights? I'm about 2 hours from Grice's, and I've just emailed Bob's Army Navy to see if they can do it. Grice's doesn't have'em and none of my local shops do either. Anyone have any other ideas? I'm in McKean County (North Central PA). I really don't feel like spending $100-200 on the tool at this point which is why I'm opting to find someone instead. Thanks in advance for any input.

Re: Glock Sight Pusher
I emailed Bob's as stated with no luck- they apparently use a gunsmith in Dubois, which is even further. I may just end up cringing and and blowing the money on one; bah.

Re: Glock Sight Pusher
Did you already buy the sights?
Another option is to send your slide to someone who will sell and install for you. I've done this several times and it's a lot easier than sending the whole gun out.
If you've already purchased the sights you can put up a post asking to borrow a sight pusher from someone in your area (as offered above).

Re: Glock Sight Pusher
They should be here soon photo, I have them ordered. I had talked to ed, but he's a fair distance away and we'd have to exchange through UPS or mail, and although I really appreciate the offer, I feel that's a lot to ask of someone.
I guess my whole thing with this that the set of Meps I bought aren't adjustables and I want to be sure my point of impact is correct. I know I could tap them if needed, but I really don't want to risk it. Maybe I'm just paranoid. I'll give some further consideration to just sending it out.
Thank you as well for the offer cdi, I'll keep it in mind.

Re: Glock Sight Pusher
Seriously? Go get a block of wood. Fit the sights a little with a fine sand paper so you don't have to pound on them. And tap them into place using the corner of a squared piece of wood. You won't mar your gun, or the sights. And the wood will absorb some of the shock of your strikes.
I have no idea why you are fretting about this. You could have already installed them in the time it took you to post once or twice.

Re: Glock Sight Pusher
Because according to Glock, you shouldn't drift the sights considering they are polymer and not steel. I had already stated that I was probably just paranoid about it. I also found (and still do) it odd that no local gun shops have even general universal pushers let alone specific ones, so I was trying to inquire if anyone knew anywhere else near me.
But thanks for the input.
