Looking forward to the pics and a range report.

Re: .22LR AR or look alike.
my personal opinion...the 15-22 by smith feels like a cheap airsoft gun. It does shoot well and cycles quite reliably for a rimfire though. When I shoot my gsg back to back with the S&W I quickly put the 15-22 back on the bench. The colt feels much better but I have heard of reliability issue with them.

Why not swap the upper to that lower, instead of building another lower? Spend the money on extra 22lr mags.

Re: .22LR AR or look alike.
Stay away from this, the DPMS is ok, but the black dog mags for the 22 conversions are the best mags out there. the s&w mp is a good choice too. BD makes dpms mags but the price is higher than standard ar type mag

The upper is not my post it is Liberty556's check in classifieds under fire arms .
Just trying to be helpful ,I don't know him or anything about the upper other than what is posted.

I think you have this the other way around, the colt cant hold a cup of water to a swmp22. once again I will hold my SW arms length high and drop it on cement and you do the colt and see which one breaks into 2 or more pieces.

Re: .22LR AR or look alike.
I have a Sig 522 and a Spikes dedicated 22 AR, hands down the Sig performs better in every department.

Re: .22LR AR or look alike.
Well I won the Gun Broker Auction and sent my payment. Tomorrow I will be ordering Troy rear folding sights and a few Black Dog mags. After that I think it is a red dot ether an EoTec or Aim Point not sure yet. Then She will get some Magpul FDE furniture but not till Christmas most likely. Pics when I get it.
