    Default Gunshow = New Toy

Love my RIA compact 45 so much, picked up a full size RIA 1911 in 38 Super in Nickel at Hsbg Gunshow today. Already have a full size 1911 45, and the RIA compact, so wanted to give a 38 super a try. Got a heck of a deal on it, can't wait to take her out ! Pic uploading not working again here, so put a link to photobucket
    Can't beat these RIA's

Great buy! I missed the show this weekend. Tell me about your compact though. Was it reliable right out of the box? Hows accuracy compared to a 5 inch gun? Ive been thinking about a 3 inch 1911 and its starting to sound like the RIA is definately worth checking out.

Nice. I was checking them out in 45 acp there. A little bit too flashy for me though. I picked up a Springfield GI 45 instead.

Accurate and reliable right out of the box ! Have had zero issues. I searched my photo file and found my first shots at 50 ft - I was happy. At
$ 388 - you can't go wrong. I did some research on RIA before buying it and was impressed with what I found and haven't been disappointed so far. In talking with dealers, I have yet to hear anyone talk down about them either. Good luck !

Wow, I really like that. Haven't had any personal experience with RIA but have fondled a couple at the range before. Thanks for posting.

No, he wasn't Harrisburg - will dig out the receipt tomorrow and see what town, just can't remember???? Name was dry tavern service I think. He just had the one, it called to me and pulled be over to his tables I even walked away and came back because I have been adding too many toys lately! He wanted $ 325 but after I went silent for a bit, he did the $ 310. Tore it down today to give it a nice once over - and although I hate cleaning 1911's with the way you have to break them down and all - it went pretty smooth. Nice to get 9+1 out of it too because of the 38 super.
