How far do u travel...
In reading many posts on several Pa forums it seems most folks dont like to travel far to hunt. What is the distance most of you travel to hunt?

Re: How far do u travel...
Somewhere between 45 yards and 20 miles.
I can honestly say that I'm very fortunate to live where I do because of the abundance of huntable property in the immediate area.
It isn't that I don't LIKE to travel far to hunt, it's just that it is no longer necessary. When we used to live in Delaware Co., I used to leave around 0100 to drive up to this area, get dressed, load the kayak w/ my decoys, shotgun, etc., paddle the two miles to where I hunted duck (which I took about 40 minutes to do so as to not overheat), then laid out my decoy spread and I was all set up by 0530 and ready for shooting hours around 0600. I'd hunt all day, reverse the order and head home to roll in around 2000-2100.
A day trip of around 240 miles and 20 hours.Sed ego sum homo indomitus

Re: How far do u travel...
To get to where I normally hunt, 30 - 45 minutes, up to an hour+ depending on how far back in we are going and if any dipshits decide they should park ON the road in instead of pulling off it
before all the transplants moved in it was a max of 15 mins, and that includes letting the truck warm up a bit before we droveThe first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

In Pa. 25 mile radius, outside Pa. I`ve been to New brunswick, Ontario, Alberta, Newfoundland, British Columbia and Manitoba. In the states I`m going to Maine this year, love S.C. Kentucky, Mississippi, N.C. and N.J. If I have some money next year, its going to be out west for Mulies. My Dream is going to Alaska.
