Fun little range I made for practice
Target design. The targets are made of a self sealing plastic and they are $4 a piece. This is good because you just circle the holes with a sharpie and shoot again.
Mounting is just a metal stake with an aluminum pieces both drilled with bolts cut to size.
Here is the overall coarse.
Here is a picture walk through. You can skip to a video at the end.

Re: Funn little range I made for practice
What ranges are the pistol targets usually in IDPA shooting or in three gun competitions? I've been moving the targets around which is a nice thing about the posts, but I don't know how far I should be practicing? I had the one target at about 25 yards and had a tough time with my groupings at that far. The target on top is my 5 shot group with a glock 17 at 25 yards. At 0-15 yards my groupings were almost always within 2 inchs.
Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance

That's the field and shooting range. Thanks though! This is why I love the country.

If you're shooting coarse try slowing down, it may allow you to start shooting smoothly. Nice shooting course though!
I am very jealous that you have your own range.

If you search USPSA or IDPA on youtube you can find a lot of videos that will give you an idea of what running a course is like.
If you search online you can find stage designs as well
