Wanted Shotgun reloading tutor

I'm adept at metallic reloading and cast my own bullets, so I'm not green as grass.

However, I've never done any shotgun loading and I'd like to feed my 12GA and 20GA.

For birdshot and target loads- it's far cheaper to buy loaded shells then futz around making them up in the limited quantity I intend to shoot.

However, I DO want to shoot buckshot and slug loads and they're not so cheap to buy.

Anybody in western PA / eastern Ohio load shotshells?

I'll be glad to bring my lee loadall and all the gear with me to your location and supply pizza/ beverages in exchange for an hour or so of experienced eyes guiding me.

I'm too far away to meet with you. The NRA "Guide to Reloading" has the basics and will give you most of the info needed for an expirenced reloader. One of the best things about their manual is that they do not try to sell some brand of equipment.

If you can find a MEC 600 Jr used they are a great buy for about $50. I don't think you can wear one out and they make good ammo. I switched to a "SizeMaster" about four years ago. If there is no-one else in your area to give you a hand, I can help you on the phone or e-mail.
