I've never seen that before. Where does that picture come from? I'm not saying it's a fake or anything. Just new to me.

Does the denim stop the bullet entirely? Or does it penetrate flesh without expansion?

All I hafta do is put on a Fireman's Turnout coat, and I'm Hollow-point-proof? That'll piss off a bunch of Body-Armor Manu's.

Some hollowpoints (like the good ones) dont have clothing issues... That was my point.

I'm looking for an effective JHP to handload for Self-Def. and Carry...

Would you recommend Sierra Gold Dot, or Remington Golden Sabre?

I'm currently using Hornady XTP 230gr. now, but I'm always open to something better.

Gold Dots do well vs denim. See my list above, those are bullets that perform well. I dont know enough about the Remingtons to risk my life on them. I know some people carry them, but I question the thought they put into them, especially when that thought process excludes so many other bullets that are easier to find.

Alot of places online have them. And if you're willing to make the trip, Surplus City in/around Bensalem had them in stock last time I checked.
