Mumia Abu-Jamal: "The Barrel of a Gun" Premieres Sept. 21st
Anyone planning on seeing this? It premieres on the 21st at the Merriam Theater. The FOP have not only endorsed it, but are providing security as well. Apparently the film presents new evidence that the murder was premeditated.

Pardon my French, but "fuck" Mumia. That POS should have fried long ago, but the Philly pols are afraid that the remaining followers of John Africa will burn down the city.

Bullshit. Philly politicians, as almost all politicians are all about frying people because it makes for good politics. They get people like you to vote for them. Bill Clinton did as much when he flew home to Arkansas from the campaign trail to execute a retarded man during his first bid for President. When the police make up laws and harass and illegally arrest people for merely carrying, as is documented practically weekly on this site, why would you think murder arrests and convictions are any different. The brakes get put on executions by the Judiciary and thank god for that. The last thing we need is efficiency in killing by the state.
I for one and very, very happy that it's not easier for the state to legally kill people. Yes, even scumbag murderers like Wesley Cook. Look to the world and see where it's easy for the government to kill its citizens, and look to where it is difficult or impossible - I humbly suggest you would much rather live where the latter is the case.
I won't be going to the movie when it first comes out, but will definitely get around to it.
