    Default Transferring a handgun to spouse

    I beleive I had read that transferring a handgun to your spouse does not require you to go through a FFL. I am just having a hard time finding where I actually read this or the law that states this.

    Can anyone help me out here?

    See details here:

    18 Pa.C.S. § 6111: Sale or transfer of firearms:
    <SNIP>

    The provisions of this section shall not apply to transfers between spouses or to transfers between a parent and child or to transfers between grandparent and grandchild.

    .
    you quoted the wrong section. Section applicable to the OP's circumstances is (c) The part you bolded relates to buying from FFL and doing the paperwork/PICS (IE: actual buyer)
