Default Damm, All this talk of 1911's

All of this talk of 1911's made me weak. I already own and love a Kimber UC2 but wanted something longer to shoot. For some odd reason I just don't like the way a 5in 1911 feels so i decide to try and creep up on 5in with a 4in (sorta)

    Citadel M1911 A-1 Compact

Had it about 20 minutes and had to get some rounds down range
(thank you, stone creek indoor range) 50 rds before work. I was happy...

As of right now , I love the way it feels. Between the length and the frame material the diffrence between this and my Kimber are night and day.
I still plan on carrying the kimber daily. I was just looking for something to shoot three gun and fun shoots.

The Citadel M1911 looks great. l think I am going to have look at one of them. As far as the 2011 goes, for the price, I think I will look at something else.

I always stressed to my son"one shot one kill that was all that is needed". When He came home from Marine Corp Boot camp He was telling me about the Marines stressing "ONE SHOT ONE KILL" He looks at me and the light bulb went on Dad was now a whole lot smarter than he was 13 weeks ago.

NICE but it's begging for some Beautiful Wood or Alumagrip's. The 1911 being America's most beloved pistol can outshine anything with the mentioned above grips'. Would someone here with a compact show this Gentleman the Beautiful look of wood or Alumagrip's.

Nice gun! I'm going shopping for a wheel gun next week, but must stay away from the 1911 case .

Yeah , that may be next... Shoot a few wheel guns but don't own any. I may put some nice grips on my other 1911.

No they are Hogue grips. They are very comfortable to shoot , really helps you interact with the pistol the same way each time you draw to shoot.
