The New Holland Rifle & Pistol Club is sponsoring a WOT event on Sat. October 9, 2010. This is a great opportunity to introduce women to the shooting sports. It is very beginner oriented and all class participants are female. If any women out there, or if you know of any women out there, who may be interested in attending this instructional clinic, kindly forward this information to them. It is a basic pistol clinic. New Holland Rifle and Pistol Club, 589 Meetinghouse Rd., Gap, PA 17527
When:
Saturday October 9, 2010 - Sign-in begins at 9:00, Clinic begins at 9:30 am.
Agenda:
Limited to 25 participants – Must Be 18 or older.
9:00 to 9:30 a.m. – Sign-in
9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. – Classroom Instruction (NRA Certified Instructors)
11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. – Lunch
12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p. m. - Range Instruction - Pistol
Cost:
$25.00 (pre-registration required). Cost includes eye & ear protection, use of firearms, targets, ammunition and lunch. Clinic is rain or shine.
Note: Registration fees for cancellations after September 27 will be non-refundable. Free goody bags for all attendees.

That is great, sounds like you need to schedule another one!

I am curious, is there an age restriction? On the form there is a box for "over 18" My daughter has been my shooting/plinking buddy, but I would definately like to see her get some formal training. She will be 17 in November.

Yes, there is an age restriction for a large classes like this WOT. There are laws that prevent instructors from putting guns in the hands of minors (under 21) so for someone your daughter's age, she would most likely need to have a parent take the course with her.
