    Default Holster Thickness Should Matter

Reading another thread elsewhere. It was brought up that some holsters are thicker than others. Now, I'm not just talking about the thickness of the material it is made out of. I'm taking about how many LAYERS there are. I never gave this much thought before. (Course thickness would make the layers even thicker)

Some holsters have 4 or 5 layers of leather, kydex, and a clip between your body and the inside of your waistband (now you have to put your pistol in there too). While some only have two layers. This has to effect concealment and comfort.

Look down on the top of the holster you have. How many layers are there between you and your waistband? I have never given this much thought bofore now.

One example of a good set up would be the Crossbreed Supertuck. It has one layer of leather and the kydex holster (one layer) between you and your waistband. This allows for much better concealment, comfort, and ease of carry. It is a very thin holster. Yet very well made, from all the positive things I have read about it.

Just thought I would bring it up. I had never thought of it before. And I'm sure others out there haven't either. Thoughts and comments.????
