Question Best way to break -in a new in the pocket holster.

Leather in the pocket. Very tight, can not pull the gun with out the holster coming with ,even while trying to catch the "hook" as I draw.
Is there a product that I can apply to the inside of the rough leather?
    TIA

I've read threads from a few holster makers who recommended simply leaving the gun holstered for a few days to break in the leather. If it's really tight you could wrap the gun in a little plastic wrap or a plastic grocery bag and holster it for a few days.

Best way to break in a leather holster? IMHO, Use it. The leather will stretch a little. If you try to use something to force the break in process, you may end up with an overly loose holster as the leather naturally stretches from use.

I have had it in the holster for almost a week and it is still very tight.
Thanks for trying and I will keep it in there .

While you're sitting around sometime, unload your gun, and insert it into the holster, now remove it, rinse, lather repeat. The gun just sitting in the holster won't break it in, the drawing process will. The holster should loosen up a bit with a few repetitions of the drawing process. I've made holsters which the gun had to really be forced into and out of, but after a dozen or two repetitions, the leather stretches just enough to make the draw and reholster easier.

I vote for walking around with it. When I get a new leather holster, I strap up and mow the yard, etc.

As stated by Lucas the proper way to break in a holster is to holster and draw the weapon. Do not put anything on the leather you will ruin it! In short order you will achieve the proper fit.

When you say "rinse lather" what do you mean.
I recall something like that with saddles.
    Thanks

I have been doing just that with every day carry chores.
I guess I am as bad as everyone else expecting instant gratification.

I will keep "Pulling It" in hopes it breaks in.

I never thought a "Garage for my Gun being too Tight" would ever be a problem

The breakin instructions that came with my fitted holster. If tight wrap one layer of wax paper around the gun and holster a few times. If still tight use 2 layers. One layer made a big difference. Also stated not to use anything but leather polish to clean. Any cleaner that will absurb into the leather could cause it to lose it's shape in time.
