Maybe a dumb question
I am considering buying a SIG P220 compact 9mm. It is DA only, and has a decocker. This pairing confuses me and I want to be sure I am correct in my thinking - DA and SA sometime throws me a bit - lol. My assumption is seeing it is DA only, the trigger pull is always the same, long. So if the hammer is cocked the trigger pull would be the same as if it was decocked ? So the only function of being decocked is to drop the hammer to avoid any possible accidental discharge ?

Re: Maybe a dumb question
Check your specs. SIG P220's are 45ACP, not 9mm. The DAK, the DAO version. does not have a decocking lever, since DAO's do not need them.

Re: Maybe a dumb question
The picture is wrong. The model number (2509109) goes to the 250 compact. Bud's isn't always spot-on with their pictures/specs.

Re: Maybe a dumb question
Ok, I get it - looks like many sites are using the wrong picture. I looked up the 2509109 on another site - able ammo - and they too had the p220 pictured with the decocker. I'm all straightened out now - thanks !

Re: Maybe a dumb question
The problem is that the information on Bud's Gun Shop is regularly wrong and misleading. I tried ordering an M&P off of them only to realize after the fact that I'd gotten the wrong version because of their confusing product information, and when I called to correct the issue they insisted on charging me a $50 "restocking fee" for attempting to change the order even though they hadn't shipped anything yet.

Re: Maybe a dumb question
Go to your local shop and skip Buds gun shop. Your local shop is a business in your community, you can touch the merchandise and you can form relationships with your local retailer. By saving a few bucks on Buds you eliminate the revenue flow to your local experts.

Re: Maybe a dumb question
I do agree on supporting local businesses when they are competitive. However, Bud's saved me nearly $200 (final price came to $425 after FFL fees) compared to local prices. Hard to say no to that!
