    Default 300+ yard gun ranges?

I am relatively new to the area and had a 500 yard rifle range where I grew up. I am looking for at least a 300 yard plus range in the Latrobe area does one exist? I miss being able to go shot whenever time permitted and would like to find somewhere to shot down this way.

Welcome to the Board 6mm - Hang tight and someone will come along with an answer, as you can see I'm in Virginia and only have a 100 yard range, but it's in my Backyard so travel time isn't a problem

When I lived in PA I was rather close to Communist Maryland and the longest range around was about 100 yards, Hopefully you'll find what you are looking for.

Hey - Reade Range in Allemans, Pa goes out to 1,000 yards. It is home to the Western Pa .30 Cal Club. Allemans is about 40 minutes north of Altoona, just outside Tyrone. Not sure about contact info, only been there once. Shouldn't be hard to google something up. Good luck and welcome to Pa.

PMSC only goes to 300 yrds now. There has been talk about building a 600 yrd range, but I have a feeling that it's not going to happen in the near future. Don't know of any other ones.

sportsmen's association of greensburg has a 500 yard range and east huntindon sportsman's has a 300. However, they are both private clubs. I'm a member at both. If you're interested, I'm from Latrobe and can maybe meet up sometime and take you as a guest. The only local public range I can think of is the one on gamelands 42 near Laughlintown but it's only a 100 yard range.

That is all true but it is very difficult to shoot there as an individual on a weekend. It is a very active club and they have some type of organized competition just about every weekend. I am a member there this year and have yet to use it.

I shot there in a 50 cal match about five years ago. Since the range was up on a plateau we had fun dealing with the wind.

Glock3540 that would be great to get a chance to see the club. I miss being able to go out and shoot whenever. It would be nice to just have a place to go right now. Keep adding to collection but hardly have time to go out and enjoy them.
