Default Anyone shoot the GSG 1911 45cal

I am looking for thoughts on the ATI Mil Spec and the Thunder. Appears they are in line with Springfields Mil Spec and Loaded.

I am mostly interested in the Mil Spec version.

Anyone own one? Shot it? Abused it yet?

The Mil Spec goes for $400 +/- Not a bad price and I do like the 22lr in 1911 they came out with. It is manufactured in the Philippines, so not sure of the Q. But I figure it has to pass some German specifications and testing.

im pretty sure that the ATi 1911's they import are not the same as they GSG .22 1911 that they import from Germany. two completely different guns from different parts of the world.
Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

At that price I may have to have one. I'm digging the look more than the basic RIA GIs as well. We'll have to see how they preform.

Correct, the gun is actually manufactured in the Phillipines by Shooters Arms Manufacturing. http://shootersarms.com.ph/.

They have quite a collection of 45's, 40's in 1911 and polymers in 9mm as well. Interesting site I might add.

But how is the Quality, Accuracy, Parts interchangeable, (comes w/only 1 mag and no holster etc...). Looking for someone who has torn it up at the range and can give a report.

It is relatively new, so it might take a while for someone to do up one.

I bought the railed model with the works we will see the great thing is that parts interchange may need minor fitting but I can custom fit it to me wish me luck
