FAL or remington R-15

thinking of trading the DSA for the remington R-15 .308
need your opinions. my thought is the solid receiver wold make the optics last longer (no vibration) .
Down side is im not sure whats available for mags for the R-15

How would the NY AWB affect the mag capacity of the modern mags of the R15, as opposed to the ancient pre-ban FAL mags in the USA? - assuming on my part that FAL mags are already exempt there...

What are you going to do with them? Accuracy requirements?

agree with the above post. you need to identify what you want to use it for. the FAL is a SHTF battle rifle for use with iron sights. the R-15 is a hunting rifle geared for optics and precision shooting.

both can fulfill the role of the other but less optimally.

what do you want to use it for?

I use it for hunting and recreation and of course its my (D day gun) as i call it .

Im actually trying to make the same decision between an r15 or a dpms 308.....I believe the r15 has a brass deflector and Im a lefty.....I dont have to decide till the spring though
