    Default RIA 1911

I know there have been many threads on the Rock Island Armory 1911 and most have agreed it's a pretty nice piece ! I purchased mine several months ago on gunbroker for a great price and have had zero issues with it. If anyone has been holding off - Buds just put them up for $ 399 inc. shipping for the officers model !

Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

I think you'll be happy - I love mine. I put some new grips on it, changed out the thumb safety and slide stop with ss ones, put pearce slide in finger grooves just to jazz it up a bit - lol. I posted it before, but here it is. Nice gun, can't beat for the money.

Did you put normal grips over a Houge grip? I kinda like that. Gives it a traditional 1911 look and still comfy finger grooves

I got one about 7 years ago while looking for something else. I have 2 now, and have been carrying them much of the time. Have not had any problems, and they are extremely accurate.

Check the RIA/ARMSCOR forum at 1911.org to find a lot more happy Rock owners...

I found them on ebay - Pearce slide in finger grooves. They allow you to have nice finger grooves and still put whatever grips you want on. Here's a link to a set I just saw on ebay for full size 1911. Good luck - thanks !
