I don't believe there is a cartridge limit on manualy operated firearms.

Go to the source for the best information, see:

I looked through the official site and could not find anything concrete.

    Provided it's not a semi-auto yes......I presume it's a lever gun.

I guess it could be a pump as well.

Someone makes a 10 round mag for a Rem 760.

    I have no doubt.

In my limited experience lever guns are the norm.

    Yes they are.

When I bought my pumpgun around 75, I bought 2 10 round mags and gave one to a buddy.
I used it primarily to carry extra ammo. It was plastic and the last round didn't strip off the mag IIRC.

    I haven't tried it in 30+ years.

this is from page 31 (Big Game Regulations) of your July 1, 2010 - June 30, 2011 Pennsylvania Hunting & Trapping Digest

    Lawful Arms & and Ammunition:

    Deer and Bear: Regular Seasons - 1) Manually operated (pump, lever, bolt acttions, single-shots) centerfire rifles, shotguns and handguns (revolvers or single-shots) with all lead bullet or ball, or bullet designed to expand on impact;

and it goes on to talk about muzzleloading long guns and hand guns, then bows.

sounds to me like you will be fine.

IIRC you may only have 3 rounds in your shotgun at a time. 1 round in the chamber and 2 in the mag. Then I believe they go so far as to requiring you to limit the actual mag capacity by putting a wooden dowel in the mag tube.
I don't know how this translates to the rifle world.

    It doesn't.

There is no magazine restriction (for hunting) on manually operated rifles in Pa.
