    True for most of us
But, not if your not eligible for a LTCF.

Then I guess you don't carry in that manner, I work in Delaware once a week, I go unarmed because PA's LTCF is not valid there, however I am working on getting the Utah non-resident permit so I can.

    I don't understand, Sober?

You asked why not get a LTCF and open/concealed issue goes away.
My point was that some people can't get a LTCF.
But open carry (on foot) does not require a LTCF making it the only way to legally carry in public if you don't have a LTCF

Some people are not comfortable w/open carry.

Most people have been duped into thinking it's illegal. But more people are now doing it daily through education that they have the option.

    IOW: We're working on it

My idea was based on the fact that folks can't decide if it's open or concealed carry, if you have a LTCF it doesn't matter, to me it's open, you can see it.

I did not factor in the the age or resident status in my statement. But since open carry is apparently not against any laws then you could carry openly, and I guess the photo in the first post would be a way to open carry.

Personally I offered my situation in Delaware and how I am going about carrying legally there. Any underage or non-resident who wants to carry here should look into how they can, in the manner they choose, legally, like I have for my weekly trip to Delaware.

    My bad,
    Bill

i've wondered the same thing.......... i prefer to, but that's just personal preference..........i'd like to see it become more popular - i think it would make the general public a little more comfortable with a truly armed populace. if i were to go to a place like a movie theater where prohibited gun signs are obviously posted, the gun would then disappear. (i avoid movie theaters, because they are too expensive and i have my own projector screen and surround sound home theatre, lol) but you get the point.......

    Ah, got ya.

According to opencarry.org DE is an open carry state

    Delaware

    Summary
Delaware is an open carry state. Those doing so should be aware that any local ordinances that were in effect at the time that preemption was passed (July 4, 1985) are still in effect and are NOT preempted. Open carry does not yet appear to be a common occurence in Delaware, but the number is increasing.

Thanks for the tip on DE, but my preference is concealed.

Funny story here, I'm a truck driver. I started a new job in Sept. with a trash company, first month it had all been local residential stuff. One day they said I was going to do a complex in DE that day, I wasn't prepared for that, I had my carry piece on me. Rather than putting the gun in my motorcycle saddlebag I kept it on me, thinking next time I'll leave it home. Don't you know on the way back to PA I was pulled over for a DOT spot check. Sat in the truck for most of it. Everything was in order, after the trooper was finished running my papers he motioned for me to get out of the truck and come to his car window to retrieve my license. I carry a Kahr CW9 in my front pocket, I walked over to his window and stood kind of sideways so he couldn't get a good look at the pocket that he was eye level with. Talk about sweating bullets, hehehe.
