922r Compliancy
Lets say I take the black pistol grip off a WASR10 and put a Russian one on, and then i take a foreign part of the gun and replace it with an american part?
Would it still be compliant?"If the individual can govern himself, all external government is tyranny" - Benjamin Tucker.

Re: 922r Compliancy
if the black pistol grip is USA made and you swap in a foreign made then you must change out another part to remain compliant. the part you change must be foreign to USA, and must be on the list of the 15-16 parts that count on an AK.

Re: 922r Compliancy
Is the gas block and the hand guard on an WASR10 made in the United States? How many US parts do I need to make it compliant?

Re: 922r Compliancy
Gas block does not count for or against 922r on an AK.
Both the upper and lower handguard combined are one part. Look for 'made in USA' or something simlar stamped on it to confirm country of manufacture.
It's not how many US parts you need, but rather it's having no more than 10 imported parts is the requirement for compliance. Each model of gun has different parts that may or may not be used towards that count. For AK's, use this handy online form: http://thegunwiki.com/Gunwiki/BuildAkVerifyCompliance
