I've only bought guns online from one place before, other than gun auction sites. That is Classic Arms, great site, good deals, standup people.

I did get some off cheaperthandirt, some tracer rounds and some M855 rounds that you cant get local, most normal stuff for me Im better off local dicks sporting goods has been having some good sales of late, wal mart is farly cheap to most of the time, my one local gun shop has .223 stuff cheap, just depends on what I want I know where to get it around here.

i have bought guns from the equipment exchange on www.ar15.com and the firearms classifieds board on www.glocktalk.com. and i was going to buy one on gunsamerica.com once, but i realized the shop i was going to order it from was in latrobe, so i just drove out there instead. all good experiences.

i don't buy ammo online. for what i buy (mostly 9mm with some .223), i've never found an online place that sells it for much, if any, less than what i can get it for at the store...and it's more fun taking a trip to sportsman's warehouse than surfing bullets-r-us.com

I also would add Atlantic Firearms to the list of good vendors.

I want to like Cheaper than Dirt but their ridiculous shipping prices they charge make your total being a lot more expensive than dirt, probably dirt with gold flakes in it.

Just search some other forums to read some horror stories. Sometimes they do it, sometimes they don't.

Used to go to www.ammoman.com but I usually just get a box or two before I go to the range. Just too paranoid to order over the web anymore.
