The PAFOA Logo
Ok guys, I gave myself a crash course in Adobe Illustrator today and whipped together version 2.0 of the PAFOA logo.
My goals with this logo were as follows:
1) Use only black & white for easy/cheap printing
2) Include our state
3) Include two guns, both antique and modern to signify a support of ALL firearm ownership
4) Include the name & website
I think I've accomplished all of those ideas and the only thing I am not 100% happy with is the empty space above and below the state, although I'm leaning towards leaving it as is because simple is always good in design.
I'd like to hear your guys' opinions on the logos and any constructive criticism you have for making it better.
This is the logo that will be printed on shirts, stickers, letterhead and whatever else I feel like printing up.Dan P, Founder & President, Pennsylvania Firearm Owners Association

Overall I like it. Pittsburgh getting shot and Philly getting its head bashed in by the stock. Nice touch
I see what you mean about the space. How about getting rid of the black outer ring and put the words there in black. maybe you can get them closer to the state. May also be too wordy but not much we can do about that. One name change in a week should be enough.

I like it and want the tee shirt. The only suggestion I would have and it goes against easy/cheap printing is that the space could be filled by the American flag. other than that I like the simple direct nature of the logo

Dan, is it my imagination or how the logo shows up on my monitor or is the ring really oval? Round is preferred, IMO.
In any case, I'm in for 2.

- No rings, just curved text (I did not like this because the logo wasn't 'contained' and just 'floated' on the page.)
- 2 black circles with black text between them (Looked OK, but I didn't think it was strong enough.)
