Doublestar 1911s
Anyone have a chance to check out the Doublestar 1911s yet?
Saw this in Guns and Ammo's latest Complete Book of the 1911 and it looks and sounds sweet.
Seems to be $1000 plus at Bud's. Kind of pricey, but seems to be comparable to other 1911s with those features.

Re: Doublestar 1911s
I handled one about two months ago and it seemed very nice from what i remember. As I just stated, this is based solely on my tremendously forgetful memory but I recall it had very nice fit and finish and the trigger seemed nice. The particular one I saw had the railed dustcover. They are filled with top shelf parts, hopefully they have been properly assembled with said parts. I haven't heard anything to the extent of range reports or problems with them but I never looked for that info. It may be out there if you search for it.
I didn't care much for the ARs I've seen from them but that's solely a visual impression and don't have any real reasoning to back it up...
Their logo is cool though
