Range/Membership near West Chester?

I am looking to join a range. I think Targetmaster is the best bet. I've read a few threads, but nothing that seems too crazy.



Anyone else to consider before joining up?

I had a membership at Targetmaster for a year, and it was OK for shooting handguns inside and access to rental guns. I've since joined Lower Providence Rod and Gun Club near Oaks, and now have access to both indoor (pistol) and outdoor (rifle and pistol) ranges. Also access to free shooting clinics and organized shoots. For less than half the cost of the TM membership. There are several clubs around that have similar facilities.

I am down the street from West Goshen. Do you have any other recommendations? Looking into Lower Providence Rod and Gun Club now.

Check out: Classic Pistol, 1310 industrial blvd, southampton,pa. just a short distance from willow grove area.........check out their website: www.classispistol.com. note: it is one of the cleanest,safest indoor ranges on the east coast.

LPRGC (www.lprgc.org) has a "First Shots" program for new shooters this Saturday. The event wouldn't be for you, but it would be a good chance to look the place over. They have an indoor pistol range, 100-yard rifle range (alternates between rifle and pistol priority), and will shortly have a new outdoor pistol range, so the 100 yard range will be full-time rifle. Given the choice, I'll shoot outside. Dues are $116/year with $100 initiation.

I like CP, but I'm not driving 60 min each way.

Another vote for LPRGC I am a member and have a guest pass. So if you would like to go see the range drop me a PM. It is a great and SAFE place with some amazing instruction available. I used to live in 19380 and can tell you its not too bad of a drive at all. Far superior to dealing with the not so nice guys at target master.

That's 32 min by googlemaps... not bad...

LPRGC is 32 minutes... but above KOP mall... so I could drop my wife off maybe... or have her come with me if I go with her later...

Targetmaster is still only 23 min... So I get an extra 20 min of shooting time each time I go (or just life in general)... costs more though. I guess I might have to demo it to see how people treat me. =\
