Learn to shoot Civil War era Black Powder Revolvers. A variety of civil war era revolvers will be available for students to study and shoot.

The Muzzleloading Pistol course will run concurrently with a Basic Pistol Course on Sept 18 since the shooting fundamentals are the same, only the loading procedures change. Muzzle loading students will stay later on Saturday, Sep 18 to cover the differences in Muzzleloading. People from one class will be allowed to cross over into the other if they wish, but you can only get a completion certificate from one class.

This class is in the Pocono Mountains and there are many other things to do both before and after class in the area. The class is split into two 6 hour days on Sep 18 and Sep 19 starting at 12 Noon. I have arranged it so that people traveling from out of town, can arrive into town and enjoy the local nightlife (Mount Airy Casino) and still get some sleep in the morning before coming to the class. You may also get up early to go fishing, golfing or horseback riding before class. Students can also go hiking, boating or camping in Tobyhanna State Park next to the shooting range.

I recommend that students wear hiking boots to the range which is somewhat rocky. The range gets muddy in heavy heavy rain so be prepared for all conditions. The class will require a $25 deposit to order materials.

This is an official NRA Black Powder Pistol Course. A certification will be given upon completion of the course.

note: If you have a group of 2 or more people, you may also contact me to schedule an alternate date.
