    Cool A new family member

Picked up the anniversary Ruger Mark III on Friday afternoon.

I went fully intending to return home with a Sig Mosquito but came home with this baby. I knew going in that the Sig had a set of issues but I just wanted something like my carry gun that my son could use to plink with me but after comparing the Ruger with the Sig, I just couldn't do it.

It sucks that the Ruger is such a pain in the ass to strip. It really seems like a dumb design but wow does this thing shoot.

That is a really classy looking pistol. I was just watching Tales of the Gun earlier today on the origin of the Luger and you can see that this model is based on a Luger. I wouldn't even know where to begin to field strip one of those. I've heard nothing but good things about the Ruger .22s though and I'd really like to get one but I like blowing stuff up with shotguns and big bore handguns a bit more . . . Anyway, pretty gun!

Agreed. I love blowing big holes in stuff with my .45 and seeing the flames shoot out of the end of the short barrel but I'd rather shoot 4x the number of .22 rounds for the same price as .45.
